Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Mexico, Missouri. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Proposals need to include costs for: any needed project engineering including topographic and soil surveys, production of construction documents, pickleball court design, pickleball court construction, pickleball court surfacing, pickleball court net and post installation, fence installation, pickleball court striping, excavation or soil to level grading, and any needed travel to site. Bidders attention is directed to the requirement that prevailing wages are to be paid on this project. The City of Mexico, MO reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any formalities in the proposal. Scope includes the site investigation, engineering, design, production of construction, documents, permitting, court orientation, excavation, grading, drainage, fencing, installation of posts and nets, surfacing of, striping of, provide needed utilities for and construction of two post tensioned concrete pickleball courts a total size of 34'X64' feet each. Additional pad space to accommodate pass through and waiting space is permissible. To include eight-foot exterior fence and six-foot divider fence between courts -fencing to be integrated into pad with a minimum of 10 inches of concrete space on the exterior of fence. A north-south orientation should be maintained to minimize the angle of the sun in player's eyes. The location of the pickleball court will be in Fairgrounds Park by the current existing court. Fairgrounds Park is located at 1200 Adams Street, Mexico, MO 65265 Constructed courts are to meet USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) requirements to provide singles and doubles recreational pickleball opportunities. Scope does not include lighting but design should reflect owners desire to possibly add lighting in the future. Post construction site seeding will be the responsibility of the City of Mexico.
