The work consists of constructing 13.205 miles of maintenance (other than bridge) on Site "A" Shelby-Deeson Road and Site "B" Parchman Road under State Aid Program Project No. SAP-06(2)M in Bolivar County, Mississippi. Major items include asphalt type ST mixture 19mm (base and edge repair), cold milling of bituminous pavement (all depths), maintenance of traffic, additional construction signs, mobilization, unclassified excavation, granular material (Class 4, Group B), and crushed stone #610. Sealed bids must be submitted as specified. Any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Bolivar County and the State of Mississippi. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities. The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
