Richland County is seeking to hire a Primary General Contractor to oversee the demolition of Commercial Structures in the Wood Court area. The Primary General Contractor will be responsible for hiring DHES licensed sub-contractors to perform the Project Design and Air Monitoring. The General Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that DHES (DHEC) guidelines are followed, and also ensure that the Scope of Service requirements are met. (R06161-01-47) The County is seeking to hire a General Contractor to oversee the demolition of Commercial Structures. The General Contractor will be responsible for hiring DHES licensed sub-contractors to perform the Project Design and Air Monitoring. General Contractor will be responsible for ensuring and DHES (DHEC) guidelines are following as it pertains to the demolition of the structure. The General Contractor will also be responsible for ensuring that all Richland County Scope of Service requirements are met. Solicitation responses from General Contractors must include all associated cost associated with fully removing the structure, air monitoring and Project Design. The General Contractor will be responsible for hiring licensed and qualified sub-contractors for the following: Demolition Contractor: This contractor will perform the demolition of the structure. This contractor must not be affiliated, hired, retained in any way by the Air Sampler Special Considerations Address: 133, 137, 141, 145, 149 Wood Ct. o Concrete Slab, Wall and roof will be separated between 133 Wood Ct. & 129 Wood Ct. o 129 Wood Ct. is connected but privately owned and not associated with the abatement. o A repair permit will be pulled by the General Contractor at the same time as the demolition permit for the rebuilding of the external wall at 129 Wood Ct. Rebuilding: An external wall built where 133 Wood Ct. use to occupy. Inspections will include: Insulation, Sheathing (OSB/Plywood), House wrap, and an exterior covering matching the existing buildings in color and materials. ** Need typical wall section drawing or scope of wall rebuild. A Richland County Inspector will be on-site to inspect the work as it is being performed so the project can be completed as quickly as possible.
