Sealed Bids are invited for a project consisting of roof replacement at Fort Atkinson SHP near Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, in Washington County. The bidding documents are available at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Engineering Division Office and on their website. Proposals must be submitted on the provided form and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid as bid security. Specific bonding and insurance requirements apply based on the contract amount, including Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond thresholds. Proposals must be marked accordingly, and the Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. Question Deadline 10/14/2025 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a request to the Architect/Engineer at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of bids. Scope of Work: Remove the existing asphalt shingle roof assembly down to the plywood roof decking. Drill holes in plywood decking near the exterior side of the exterior walls to seal off the top of the exterior walls and vent baffle that connects the exterior soffit to the joist space that contains batt insulation. Cut vents into the exterior soffit for proper ventilation. Install vented nailbase insulation system above existing plywood roof decking and provide new fascia vents behind the gutters that connect to the vented nailbase. Reroof the existing hip roof system with new hip and ridge vents for a fully ventilated roof system. At the center of the four hip roofs is an existing EPDM low slope roof. The existing EPDM roof assembly will also be removed and replaced to accommodate additional height of the new vented nailbase insulation at the main roof assemblies.
