Project consists of the reconstruction of existing water backflow assemblies to install smart meters and gateway collectors. The installation of sixteen smart leak detection meters, twenty backflow assemblies, two gateway collectors, and necessary modifications in following terminals: China Shipping, World Cruise Center, TraPac, Everglades, Fenix Marine Services, APM, and Pasha The HARBOR DEPARTMENT of the CITY OF LOS ANGELES, California, invites electronic bids in accordance with Specification No. 2830 for the Portwide Leak Detection Expansion Program project. The project consists of the reconstruction of existing water backflow assemblies to install smart meters and gateway collectors. The installation of sixteen smart leak detection meters, twenty backflow assemblies, two gateway collectors, and necessary modifications in following terminals: China Shipping, World Cruise Center, TraPac, Everglades, Fenix Marine Services, APM, and Pasha. Please note that this project will include requirements mandated by the Port of Los Angeles Small Business Development Program aimed at increasing participation of small businesses and very small businesses in construction contracts. At time of bid, the SBE and VSBE participation levels shall be based on the percentage of total contract amount (including the Allowance Items) to be paid to SBE and VSBE subcontractors and suppliers. Therefore, bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference to receive information about the Program.
