Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 8,832-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Project consists of the interior renovation of the existing Welding Lab and Construction Trades Lab, and Welding Storage areas within the Workforce Careers Center at Lincoln Land Community College campus located in Springfield, IL. The renovations include approximately 8,800 gross square feet of building area, including renovating welding lab, training lab, storage areas, and new equipment rooms to service renovated spaces. DCEO BEP Goal: 3% Advertisement for Bids Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) invites qualified Contractors to submit sealed bids to furnish all labor & material to complete requirements of bidding for Lincoln Land Community College - Welding Lab Expansion which includes the following: Project consists of the Renovations and Expansion of the Workforce Training Facilities Welding Lab located on the LLCC Main Campus. Contractors who have submitted a bid are invited, but not required, to attend the bid opening. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/) and the Drug Free Workplace Act (30 ILCS 580/). All contractors and subcontractors shall demonstrate experience on projects of similar size and type. All contractors bidding as prime bidders for this project will become subcontractors of O'Shea Builders as Construction Manager at Risk. Lincoln Land Community College encourages the award of construction-project contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders to minority-owned, female owned, veteran-owned and disabled persons-owned businesses. For this Project, there is a goal of awarding, in the aggregate, subcontracts and/or purchase orders in the amount representing at least three percent (3%) of the contracts, subcontracts and/or purchase orders to minority-owned, female-owned, veteran owned and/or disabled person-owned businesses. All contractor questions regarding any matter concerning this Advertisement for Bid must be submitted in writing to O'Shea Builders by Thursday, 10/23/25. Submittals of questions may be emailed to questions@osheabuilders.com, please put "LLCC - Welding Lab Expansion" in the subject line. No questions will be addressed after 2:00PM (CST), on Friday, 10/24/25. The bidder shall furnish a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the amount bid in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, made payable to Lincoln Land Community College. All LLCC Campuses are SMOKE FREE. The Lincoln Land Community College, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of the owner's race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income-level, or LEP in consideration for an award. LLCC reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, or to permit timely correction of minor deficiencies in bids whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of LLCC and to accept the bid or bids being most favorable to LLCC after all bids have been examined and evaluated. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
