Site work for a water / sewer project in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Mobilization and furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the removal of alum sludge and filter backwash solids from Lake Montebello and the Washwater Lake and final disposal of the sludge and filter backwash solids in an approved disposal site. The solids must be removed from the lakes, dewatered on site to reduce the amount of water to be hauled and disposed of, and trucked to a final disposal site. After completion of work, restoration of all disturbed areas on the site is required. All contractors bidding on this contract must be prequalified by the City of Baltimore Contractors Qualification Committee. If the bid is submitted by a joint venture, the document establishing the joint venture must be submitted with the bid for verification. The prequalification category required for bidding is G90013 Dredging. The cost qualification range for this work is $20,000,000.01 to $30,000,000.00. MBE and WBE goals are 15% and 8%, respectively. MBE/WBE goals of MBE-30% and WBE-15% apply only to specified prequalification codes including grading, erosion control, fencing & guard rail, landscaping/site preparation, earthwork & site preparation, highway signing & lighting, clearing & grubbing, hauling (non-hazardous materials), and tree removal & pruning.
