Renovation of a mixed-use development in Clearwater, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade library.

The project consists of replacing the 48 ft. by 47 ft. flat roof of the Village of Clearwater library/office building with a mono-slope trussed roof. The selected contractor must have experience with similar projects and will be responsible for furnishing all equipment and materials to the village's specifications and for securing and paying for all necessary permits. The roof design requires trusses spaced 4 ft. on center, truss placement that allows access holes for a well, tying trusses to the library walls, bearing trusses on bearing walls (with special consideration for the west wall), a 2/12 mono slope sloping east toward the alley, 29-gauge painted steel on the roof, front, and two sides, as well as addressing an uneven jog on the northeast portion of the wall and the existing eastward slope of the current flat roof. Bidders must provide a Form W-9 and certificate of liability insurance before work begins. The village will provide a contract and Forms 13 and 17 to the selected contractor. Invoices must be submitted to the village clerk for board approval before payment. Selection will be based on technical expertise (40 points), capacity to perform the work within the specified time (30 points), and proposed cost and fee schedule (30 points).
