A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** This is a Micro LBE Set-Aside solicitation for work on the Tea Garden Longbridge at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. License: A This Request for Bid is for the repair and renovation of a 50'-long wooden pedestrian bridge, the Longbridge, at the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. The Request for Bid includes the Scope of Work below and the information included in Attachments 1 and 2. Question Deadline 10/09/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Questions Due emailed to gabriel.meil@sfgov.org and cc bridget.webster@sfgov.org. BID ITEM 1: Renovation and Repair of the Longbridge 1. Fence off construction area with 6' high temporary construction fencing with black fencing fabric netting, securely positioned so it will not fall in high winds or tampering.. 2. Place protective surfacing over existing Pagoda Plaza gravel paving to prevent damage to existing hardscape surface. Contractor shall be responsible to replace any paving damaged during construction (which includes a very expensive binder produced in Germany). 3. Remove and dispose of all wood members. Concrete abutment to remain in place. 4. Repair bridge as shown in the drawings in Attachments 1 and 2. Note that carpenters shall be familiar with traditional Japanese woodworking joints, Kigumi (), renowned for their precision, strength, and beauty. 5. All wood to be Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Grade A or better clear. 6. All metal fasteners, including bolts and screws to be 318 Stainless Steel. Steel Angles on concrete abutment to be hot-dip galvanized. 7. Install concrete landings at each end of bridge (50 sf, each side). Use 4" thick reinforced concrete (#4 rebar, 12" oc, EW) with 6" compacted aggregate base. Concrete to have integral color (tbd).
