The project consists of replacing the existing 150 gpm wet pit/dry pit style pump station with a new 291 gpm submersible sewage pump station. The new pump station will include a new 8-foot diameter precast concrete wet well, check valve vault, meter vault, new electrical and control panels, new telemetry, a new emergency generator, approximately 180 LF of 8-inch RJPVC/PVC forcemain, four (4) new manholes and associated gravity lines to redirect flow to the new wet well. Bids must be submitted on the complete project. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Town of Beaufort, 701 Front Street, P.O. Box 390, Beaufort, NC 28516 and the outside of the envelope must be marked "Bid for Town of Beaufort - Pump Station #7 Replacement". All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the bound document. The name, address, and license number with limitation and classification of the Bidder must be plainly marked thereon. Contractors are notified that North Carolina G.S. 87 relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Rivers & Associates, Inc. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined online and at the office of the Town of Beaufort, 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "Rivers & Associates, Inc.". For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
