The Town of Holly Springs is seeking qualifications from qualified consulting firms to provide professional engineering and design services for the Avent Ferry Road Festival Street in downtown Holly Springs. The design is anticipated to include a curbless street for flexibility, retractable bollards or entry features to separate the Festival Street from vehicular travel and protect pedestrians at entry points, paving materials and features that delineate vehicular areas and create a low-speed environment when vehicles are allowed, unique paving and vegetation to complement the downtown brand, enhanced landscaping for a large tree canopy and stormwater treatment, accommodations for periodic street closures for events while maintaining service to local businesses and public parking, street lighting, overhead string lights, gathering spaces, seating, public art, intersection improvements at Avent Ferry Road and W Ballentine Street for pedestrian safety, and other elements as determined in the design development process. No additional specific instructions to bidders are provided.
