The original solicitation follows below. ________________________________________________ The Town of Holly Springs is seeking bids for a single-prime construction contract for the expansion of the existing wastewater treatment facility, Utley Creek Water Reclamation Facility. The work is located at the Utley Creek Water Reclamation Facility site, 150 Treatment Plant Road, Holly Springs, NC. The work consists of: new fine screen facility and flow distribution box; upgrade of existing oxidation ditches; new blowers in the blower building; conversion of existing secondary clarifiers to equalization tanks; new membrane bioreactor facility, deoxygenation tanks, and RAS pump station; rehabilitation of existing UV disinfection facility; new chemical storage facility; new dewatering facility. Plan holders are required to sign up for "Construction Bids" notifications at the specified Town of Holly Springs bid page for further project notifications/addenda. All project questions or requests for clarification are to be submitted in writing. Bidding, contract award, and bonding requirements shall conform to N.C Statutes for public facilities construction. All bids must include the complete bid proposal as presented, with required information filled out. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid. Contractors must list all proposed sub-contractors for major portions of work in the bid. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder unless all bids are rejected. Minority firms are encouraged to submit proposals. Pre-qualification requirements for the project: Only bids from the previously prequalified general contractors will be accepted. Contractors offering a proposal must be licensed to perform the specified contracting type in North Carolina. Any bidder currently in litigation with the Town will be disqualified from bidding. Contractors shall meet all specified provisions and list all major sub-contractors.
