Renovation of a multi-residential development in Woodstock, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,644-square-foot, two-story above grade multi-residential development.
The Town of Woodstock, VT is seeking bids from qualified house moving/lifting contractors to elevate an existing two-story, 1,644 square foot residential structure and two masonry chimneys approximately 8 feet at its current location. This effort is part of a federally funded flood mitigation project under the FY23 Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Swift Current Program. The structure is located within the Ottauquechee River Special Flood Hazard Area. After elevation, a new crawlspace foundation will be constructed by others, and the contractor will be responsible for lowering the structure back into place. The contractor is expected to coordinate with the Town, property owners, and other trades (excavation, concrete/foundation, framing) to safely and efficiently lift and reset the home.
