Questions regarding bids should be submitted to Jake Scarpone, Purchasing Associate II, via email The project includes the redesign of the existing employee parking lot to provide new ADA-compliant and parallel spaces, resurfacing and re-striping of the lot, installation of new security fencing and gates, and implementation of upgraded security systems, including cameras and access controls. The project will also enhance security at the employee building entrance through the installation of new door access systems and the redesign of the screening room. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids with the bid number, bidder name, and date and time of opening marked on the envelope. One unbound original and two copies should be submitted. Bids must include a 5% bid bond, proper certification for corporations outside Georgia, and all forms on those provided by the county. The successful contractor must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and an insurance certificate that meets the stated requirements. All bonds and insurance should meet the specified criteria, including surety and insurance companies holding proper ratings and authority. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty days of opening. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bid, with the right reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to negotiate terms and pricing with the lowest bidder(s). Liquidated damages will accrue at a rate of $500 per day for late completion.
