Earth Conservancy invites qualified engineering firms to submit proposals for design, permitting, bid assistance, and construction oversight services for the Center Street reclamation project, involving approximately 24 acres of mine-scarred land in Newport Township, Luzerne County. The project seeks to restore and stabilize disturbed abandoned mine lands, improve public safety, and prepare the property for future reuse. Scope of Work includes: o Develop reclamation alternatives based on site conditions. o Review alternatives with Earth Conservancy and assist in finalization of ABCA. o Prepare an itemized list of activities and cost estimate. o Prepare engineering plans/permits for agency and municipal approvals. o Advertise for construction services, manage the bidding process, and assist in contract preparation and bonding. o Provide construction services through project closeout.
