Site work and paving for a road / highway in Whitpain Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Whitpain Township seeks Statements of Interest (SOI) from qualified consultants for construction inspection services for the reconstruction of Skippack Pike (S.R.0073) and School Road (S.R.2037). The project includes the construction of a left turn lane on School Road, stormwater drainage improvements, signage and pavement striping improvements, and installation of a traffic signal at the intersection. The project will also install new pedestrian crosswalks and sidewalk connections at the intersection. All construction inspection services must meet all required guidelines for the use of grant funds. The procurement method is competitive negotiations using a modified selection method. Responses are encouraged from small firms, minority firms, and firms that have not previously worked for the Township. Prime consultants are encouraged to notify DBE subconsultants of opportunities and to solicit their participation. Submissions will be reviewed based on ability to provide services, competence based on past performance, experience and qualifications of staff, current workload and capacity to complete the project within the proposed timeframe, and overall understanding and approach to the project. Consultants will be ranked, and the top three will be recommended to PennDOT. Registration in ECMS with qualification packages is required prior to SOI submission.
