The Forest Preserve contracts tree care and removal services on an as-needed basis for trees that exceed the capacity of the Maintenance and Operations Department crews. These include trees of significant size, those that represent a substantial liability hazard, those requiring specialized training and equipment, or situations when crews are occupied with other maintenance priorities and cannot complete removals promptly (such as following widespread storm damage). Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents and accompanied by the proper bid security. The Forest Preserve District of Will County reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or parts or combinations thereof, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to reject any or all bids.
