Site work and paving for a detention facility in Gretna, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade detention facility.

The work consists of a Base Bid and two alternates. The Base Bid includes installation of a new grease trap, concrete parking lot paving, and sewer pipe and manhole replacement. Additive Alternate 1, if awarded, includes a temporary grease trap and lift station in addition to the Base Bid work. Additive Alternate 2, if awarded, includes removal of the existing generator, fuel tank, pilings, and slab, and new concrete paving, in addition to the Base Bid and Additive Alternate No. 1. All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file. Each bid must be accompanied by an electronic bid surety bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, payable without condition to the owner, and must be submitted through the designated online clearinghouse bond management system. No scanned paper copies will be accepted. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Contractors may be required to conduct their own geotechnical inspection and provide proof of said inspection prior to the start of work. All prospective bidders are invited to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid conference; however, failure to attend does not relieve the bidder of any responsibilities for information or work required according to the specifications. Bidders must be in accordance with requirements regarding diversity and participation of minority and/or woman-owned business enterprises (DBE’s, including MBE’s, WBE’s, and SBE’s). Jefferson Parish Council reserves the right to reject all bids for just cause.
