Site work for an educational facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a post-secondary education facility.

The purpose is to obtain bids for landscaping services for the main campus and satellite locations of Coastal Carolina Community College, including 444 Western Boulevard (Main Campus), 253 Western Boulevard (Culinary), and 708 Bell Fork Road (BLET). The intent is to award an Agency Specific Contract. Bids should be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions provided. TASKS/DELIVERABLES Vendor shall furnish all labor, tools, specialized equipment, supplies, supervision, and transportation to satisfactorily complete the following scopes of work: Scope of work #1: Offseason Pruning All trees and shrubs shall be pruned prior to March 15 th , to include the trees growing down the fence line of S2 & S3 parking lots. Pruning shall be done to improve the plant's health, structure, and future growth. Bushes that encroach upon sidewalks and ADA accessible door controls shall be cut back as far as possible without causing damage to the plant. All debris shall be disposed of by the vendor. Live oak canopies are addressed in a scope of work #5. Scope of Work #2: Mulching of Plant Beds/Plant Bed Maintenance Vendor shall spread new mulch to existing beds and trees currently containing mulch. The college will provide the mulch. Prior to spreading the mulch, the vendor will clean out the plant beds, machine edge around the plant beds, and apply pre-emergent pesticide and herbicide. The new mulch added will need to be approximately two (2) inches deep. After spreading the mulch, the vendor will apply post-emergent pesticide and herbicide. Mulching shall be completed prior to May 1 st . Scope of Work #3: Trimming All non-flowering trees and shrubs shall be trimmed between April 15 th and May 1 st . Flowering trees and shrubs shall be allowed to grow during the flowering period. Trimming shall maintain the cosmetic appearance, size, and shape of the plant. All debris shall be disposed of by the vendor. Live oak canopies are addressed in scope of work #5. Additional trimming addressed in scope of work #6. Scope of Work # 4 Seasonal Flowers Vendor will change the flowers located in the beds surrounding the administration building, campus entry ways, and campus perimeter seasonally. New flowers shall be planted prior to May 1 st Scope of Work #5 Live Oak Canopies Vendor will lift the live oak canopies to a height of approximately 6ft to increase clearance, improve tree health, aesthetics, and safety. This process will need to take place twice per year. Once, prior to March 15th, and again prior to September 1st . Scope of Work # 6 Upkeep Vendor will be kept on a monthly retainer in order to add mulch, trim bushes and shrubs appropriately (at least once per month during the growing season), control weeds and pests, and replace any dead or diseased plants with new live plants, when needed or as requested by the college. Once approved by the administration, the college will provide a separate purchase order to the vendor for the cost of the new plants. It will be the vendor's responsibility to water the new plants until they are established. Written questions shall be emailed to mooneyj@coastalcarolina.edu by the date and time specified above.
