Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Edmund, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a 5,723-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of the repair and resurfacing of 4,927 square yards of existing asphalt trail at Mungo Park and 796 square yards of existing asphalt trail at Crooked Creek Park. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and materials required to repair and resurface asphalt trails within both parks. Areas marked for repair must be dug out and stabilized with a minimum 4-inch-thick compacted layer of 1 1/2 inch minus crushed rock before resurfacing. All waste materials, including old asphalt, concrete, and debris from cleaning equipment, must be removed and properly disposed of by the Contractor. The trail must be resurfaced with a minimum 2-inch-thick layer of asphalt and have a minimum width of 8 feet throughout. The contractor must ensure that the finished surface is smooth and free of ridges, dips, or protrusions, and that finished edges are feathered with smooth radiuses, not extending past the rock subgrade. Minor grading, bank stabilization, and measures to prevent erosion and maintain positive drainage are also required. Contractors must also comply with all specified material standards and construction practices, and preserve natural vegetation along the trail as much as possible. Question Deadline 10/28/2025
