The project consists of furnishing and installing storm sewer pipe, storm sewer manhole and intake structures, street pavement, seeding, and miscellaneous related work located at four (4) separate locations as shown in the project plans all in Charles City, Iowa. 15" RCP Storm Sewer 180 L.F. 12" RCP Storm Sewer 248 L.F. Storm Sewer Manhole 2 Each Storm Sewer Intakes 4 Each RCP Apron with Footing 1 Each Pavement Removal 290 S.Y. PCC Street Pavement 134 S.Y. Seeding 14,000 S.F. Construction Layout and Surveying Lump Sum Temporary Traffic Control Lump Sum Mobilization Lump Sum Doc Note - Paper copies of plans and specifications can be obtained from the City of Charles City upon payment of a refundable deposit of $10.00 which shall be refunded upon return of the contract documents in a reusable condition within fourteen days after award of the project. If the contract documents are not returned in a timely manner and reusable condition, the deposit shall be forfeited. The work under this project shall be completed on or before May 29, 2026. The City desires to have the 17th Avenue storm sewer completed yet in 2025. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract price, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and which shall guarantee a faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all materials and labor and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the Contractor. The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of Charles City, Iowa, may require, to reject all bids, any unresponsive bid and to waive technicalities in bids received.
