Renovation of a library in Phenix City, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade library.
Competitive bids are sought for asbestos removal at 500 14th Street (Old Library) in Russell County, Alabama. All work must meet applicable materials, construction, quality requirements, and local building codes. Bidders must indicate the minimum dollar amount required for the project on the bid sheet. The successful bidder will provide all materials, transportation, labor, and equipment necessary to perform the work and must have any required County, City, and State licenses and comply with applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations. Proof of liability and workman's compensation insurance must be submitted before work begins. The contractor must indemnify and hold harmless Russell County and its officials from all claims related to injury or damage. Bidders must mark their envelope as 'SEALED BID (Asbestos Removal)' and date it. The County Commission intends to make a single award to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting specifications and terms but reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Work is to begin upon official approval and scheduling by the County Commission.
