Renovation of a medical facility in Jessup, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade medical facility.
Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center is requesting a contractor to complete repair services stemming from the removal of secured furniture that has been bolted into the flooring and walls of the facility. The solicitation is for masonry and stonework services. Questions Due Date and Time: October 10, 2025, by 2:00 pm. Local Time The Contractor shall perform repair work to include: a. The patching of holes in tile flooring due to furniture being anchored, and holes in walls to include painting if needed. There are approximately 300 patient beds anchored in the floor and 300 wardrobes that are anchored to the wall. b. Replace the vinyl tiles which are 12x12 and are affixed directly to concrete floors with tile glue. Due to healthcare requirements in hospitals, removal and replacement of vinyl tiles have specific guidelines regarding chemical usage. c. The walls are cinder block. d. Replacement of some areas will require plastic baseboard trim along the floor. e. Paint any damage to some areas where convex mirrors are exchanged. f. Installation Phases: i. Phase 1 - Silver Wing Group A ii. Phase 2 - Silver Wing Group B iii. Phase 3 - Rehabilitation Wing iv. Phase 4 - North Wing g. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment (i.e., ladders, test equipment, etc.), to perform all operations required to complete the total work in accordance with the requirements. h. The Contractor must meet all Federal EPA, OSHA, TJC, and MDE guidelines in the performance of work and proper handling and disposal of waste and or contaminated materials. i. The Contractor shall keep the premises free from accumulation of waste materials or rubbish always caused by operations. The Contractor shall leave the work area clean and free of materials, debris, and Contractor equipment to the satisfaction of the authorized CTPHC authorized representative. The Contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of all debris and defective materials removed in performance of the service and in strict accordance with all applicable regulations, codes, laws, and ordinances. If the area is not cleaned by the Contractor upon completion, the sum of $50.00 per hour needed to clean the area shall be deducted from the Contractor's invoice, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages. j. All work shall be approved by the CTPHC authorized representative (Contract Monitor or Designee) prior to any work being performed. All work shall be performed according to the standards of the plumbing industry and to the complete satisfaction of CTPHC. The Contractor shall work until each job is completed and when necessary. The Contractor shall not perform additional work not stated in specifications that may lead to additional costs without written approval from the Contract Monitor or Designee or CTPHC Procurement Office. The Contractor must have the approval of the Contract Monitor or designee before any modifications or alternations are made. k. The Contractor shall provide services that meet the specifications contained and referenced within this solicitation to the satisfaction of the Contract Monitor or Designee. Should the Project Monitor or Designee determine the service does not satisfactorily meet the requirements, the Contractor shall remain at the site to complete the job to the satisfaction of the Contract Monitor or Designee.
