Remodeling of a municipal facility in Muskegon, Michigan. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade municipal facility.

Project involves measuring for, fabricating, and installing new roller shades in all windows where visible glass is present. Bidders should use the Proposal Summary to calculate the Lump Sum Bid. If there are any alternates, substitutions, or modifications, they must be documented and included with the proposal. General Specifications o Light Filtering Fabric: PVC coated fiberglass in 1 by 2 weave. 3% openness, 11.6 oz./sq. yd. 0.017" thick; E Screen by Mermet, or approved equal. Fire Rating: NFPA701, both small- and large-scale tests / California U.S. Title 19. Standard hem bar is acceptable. County will select color after samples are reviewed. Submit adequate information at proposal time for evaluation. o Clutch Location & Color: Clutch on right, standard white color. o Bead Chain: Stainless steel o Mounting: Brackets shall be mounted on curtain wall frame facing room interior on both the east and west sides. The bulkheads above windows are original plaster & lathe and not believed to be sturdy enough for long-term shade mounting by themselves. Previous curtain wall shades were mounted to curtain wall frame. Shades for smaller windows on south and north sides can be mounted to either the window frame or the adjacent wall structure. Final system selected will be made in consultation with selected contractor. Standard clear anodized hardware is acceptable. Fascia / head box to hide roller is required. o Contractor is responsible for determining all needed measurements prior to fabrication. Approximate measurements and site layout details are in Appendix A. Please note there are different size windows present; some due to minor differences in curtain wall framing size and some due to walls intersecting glass panes at nonframe locations. o Installation: Professionally install blinds according to manufacturer's instructions and industry best practices. o Testing and Commissioning: Test all installed blinds to ensure proper functionality and performance. o Warranty: A 1-year warranty covering parts and labor shall be provided starting at date of substantial completion. o Contractor is responsible for any applicable taxes, permits, fees, licenses, and inspections costs. o Contractor is responsible for complying with all applicable OSHA and MIOSHA safety requirements for the work. o Contractor is responsible for receiving, moving and storing equipment as necessary at the jobsite. Questions must be submitted no later than the time and date specified on the cover of this document. In the interest of transparency, only written questions will be accepted. Answers to questions will be posted Question Deadline 10/23/2025
