Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division (NUWC) Keyport is soliciting services for the inspection of a freshwater redwood tank measuring 30 feet in diameter and 30 feet in height. The tank is situated on a concrete foundation and housed within a tent fixture that provides protection from the elements, heating capabilities, and an overhead crane with decking for personnel access to testing equipment and fixtures above the tank. The inspection will include a physical and visual assessment of the tank's exterior, including hoops, lugs, pipe fittings, bottom, and foundation. A visual inspection of the tank's interior, including the bottom, is also required. All metal components must be inspected for corrosion, and all wood components must be inspected for decay. Place of Performance. The work to be performed under this contract shall be performed at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport, WA. Bldg. 1044, Test Tank. In-person meetings may also be held at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport, WA. Bldg. 207. The deadline for receipt of questions is two (2) days before solicitation closing date. Although every effort will be made, the Government makes no guarantee that questions received after the date above will be answered.
