Demolition for a residential development in Lorain, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
Sealed bids are requested for the demolition of various properties located in the City of Lorain, Round 2. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Letter of Credit amounting to ten percent of the bid, or a bond for the full amount. No cash deposits are accepted. The guarantee must be in a separate, clearly marked envelope. Specifications and bid blanks are available at www.cityoflorain.org. Bidders must ensure nondiscrimination in employment on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin, and comply with the American Disabilities Act. All requirements for minority and women business enterprises must be met. Contractors and subcontractors are to use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor where practical. The Director of Safety/Service reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Inquiries shall be emailed to joseph_pritchard@cityoflorain.org to the attention of Joe Pritchard. The demolition of Demolition of Various Properties located in the City of Lorain, Round 2. Asbestos removal may be required for specific properties. Asbestos survey reports are provided for each property. All materials considered (assumed) to be asbestos containing, must be disposed of in an active ACM landfill recognized by the EPA. A Certificate of Deposit must be obtained from the EPA recognized landfill and provided to the City of Lorain upon completion.
