Question Deadline 10/17/2025 at 12:00 PM MT The scope of services is for an HVAC Contractor (with an electrical subcontractor) to demolish and replace the existing CRAC unit and associated piping and ductwork, existing feeder, then install two (2) new CRAC units, BAS monitoring controls, UPS, and new feeder from existing transformer to the new UPS, based on the drawings and specifications dated 9/11/2025 by RMH Group. The goal of the project is to perform work with the least amount of interruption to building operation and occupants, scheduling this to keep the data center operating. Temp cooling will not be required since there two (2) CRAC units in the room, and the awarded Contractor is required to replace the units one at a time while using the opposite for room cooling. The electrical shutdown must be limited to the panelboard in the room and not the whole building, and is expected to take 10-12 hours, so a portable backup generator will need to be provided to power up the critical loads in this room including the fire alarm, servers, etc. Again, each CRAC unit can be replaced while the other is cooling the room. The Electrical scope shall be powering the above listed equipment and the system modification required, and replacing the existing rack-mount uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems with new rack-mount or floor-mount UPS system. The engineering drawings included with this specification describe what is to be replaced, removed, or installed as new, and are to be bid upon by Contractors. The project duration is 6 months (180 days) from contract execution to substantial completion.
