Library Carpet Replacement Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. 1. Removal & Disposal of the old carpet 2. Dispose of all removed material in accordance with local regulations. 3. Light surface preparation if needed 4. Inspect plywood subfloor for suitability prior to installation. 5. Remove debris and dust to ensure proper adhesion. 6. Report any subfloor damage, moisture issues, or high spots to owner prior to work. 7. Supply 2115 square feet of carpet main floor area including elevator . 8. Supply 3175 square feet of carpet basement area 9. Installation pattern to be determined by Library. 10. Ensure all inside/outside corners are tight and clean. 11. Remove all packaging, scrap, and installation debris from site upon completion. 12. Coordinate with staff to avoid as much as possible to close the building. 13. Moving furniture is required (big heavy book shelf's to don't be removed). 14. Two full boxes of tile carpet to be left for future repairs 18. All work to be performed based on prevailing wages and Applicable Procurement Law: M.G.L. c. 149, s. 44A; M.G.L. c. 30, 39M. 19.Contractor to provide install any transitions/threshold as needed. 20. Supply and install baseboards as needed (color to be determined). 21. Town reserve the right to accept proposals in partial or all depending on funds availability.
