Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Oronoco, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work includes the following: Replace sixteen existing valves and pneumatic actuators with new valves and electric actuators (furnished by Owner), with one pipe spool rearrangement to prevent actuator interference. Remove an approximately 66" x 30" plastic window from the upper wall of the filter tank, install and coat a steel plate, and coat a portion of the filter tank exterior. Remove the existing Potassium Permanganate chemical system and furnish and install a complete Sodium Permanganate system. Remove the existing Fluoride chemical system and furnish and install a complete Fluoride chemical system. Remove the existing orthophosphate chemical skid and furnish and install components of the orthophosphate system. Remove the existing chlorine booster pump, appurtenances, and adjacent plumbing, provide design calculations for the ejector size and flow/pressure requirements of the booster pump, and furnish and install the new ejector, booster pump, appurtenances, and plumbing. Replace a window in the electrical room with CMU infill. Replace the filter float switch. Replace the electrical distribution system including a new main switch, high service pump VFDs, well pumps VFDs, MCC, 120/208V lighting panel, and transformer. Reuse and relocate the existing ATS inside. Reuse existing portable generator receptacles. Update the existing SCADA control panel with a new PLC, OIT, and network switch. Relocate the existing radio panel and SCADA PC to the new public works building. Bid Add Alternate A: Coat fluoride chemical room interior. Work is to be carried out per plans and specifications. Bidders must comply with Responsible Contractor Certification. A certified check or proposal bond of not less than 5% of the total bid, payable to the City of Orono, must accompany each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if deemed in their best interest. All prospective contractors must meet the minimum criteria for responsible contractors as defined in Minnesota statutes, with false statements possibly resulting in ineligibility or contract termination.
