Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has a requirement for the construction of a new Upper Fraser River Conservation Hatchery, in Prince George, BC. This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) requires the general construction of the new Upper Fraser River Conservation Hatchery. The project is located at 1177 Pulpmill Road, Prince George, BC. The work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: Site access improvements for materials and equipment; Pile driving and building foundation construction Construction of hatchery administration building, including all finishing, building controls and furnishing Erection of pre-engineered metal fish culture buildings, including fish rearing and incubation areas Construction of a workshop, including all finishing, and furnishing of equipment Installation of outdoor rearing tanks Construction of an aeration tower, head tank and water supply connections. Installation of hatchery water supply (surface and ground water), domestic and fire protection waterlines, sanitary and storm water piping, culverts, electrical conduits, communication, and other utilities as elevations allow Pump replacement and installation of associated control and backup power supply systems Installation of hatchery process water monitoring, controls, and automation systems Site process water, mechanical, and electrical installations Construction of a hatchery outlet channel and associated habitat enhancements Installation of fencing, site grading, and construction of road surfaces, and; Grading and construction of site road/pathways, environmental controls, and overall site drainage. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $10,000,001.00 to $35,000,000.00 (GST included).
