The project is awarded to Fernandes Construction, Inc in the amount of 157,438.72 The project generally consists of streetscape improvements on Chestnut Street located between Bridge Avenue and Pearl Street, approximately 415 linear feet of road. The scope of work includes but is not limited to concrete and pavement improvements. Major bid items include 1,950 square yards of HMA Milling, 3" or less, 225 tons of HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course, 2" Thick, 240 square yards of Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick, and 420 linear feet of 8"x18" Concrete Vertical Curb. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the name of the project and the bidder's name and address. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cash of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, or a bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00. Each bid must include a Certificate of Experience, Certificate of Equipment, and certificate of Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed in New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, New Jersey Workers Health and Safety Act, United States Occupational Safety and Health Act, Equal Opportunity Employment, and Affirmative Action.
