Site work and paving for a road / highway in Red Bank, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The scope of work involves the removal and replacement of the existing full depth concrete roadway between Broad Street and Hudson Avenue with a full depth asphalt roadway, a 2-inch pavement surface course overlay from Hudson Avenue to Spring Street, concrete curb replacement, installation of handicap accessible curb ramps where applicable, replacing limited sections of sidewalk and driveway aprons, drainage system extensions, upgrades to NJDEP Type 'N' Eco curb pieces and bicycle safe grates, replacement of existing domestic water service connections to the existing 8" water main, extension of the 8" water main from Hudson Avenue to Broad Street, limited sewer repairs including manhole sealing, clearing pipes of root intrusions, trenchless repairs, spot repairs and pipe lining, as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for completion of the project, whether or not specifically described in the contract documents. All work on this contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Bid packets must be completed as designated in the contract documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name and address and the name of the project, and addressed to the Borough Clerk. Bid packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a qualified surety company and either a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the "Borough of Red Bank" for at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, not to exceed $20,000. The successful bidder is required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of the project. This project is funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Grant and the Borough of Red Bank. Vendors currently suspended, debarred, or disqualified are not eligible. The successful bidder must comply with all statutory requirements in the contract documents, including affirmative action, wage, registration, and other legal requirements. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bid packets. Award of contract is contingent upon eligibility determination by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
