The New York State Bridge Authority is soliciting technical and cost proposals for "Construction Inspection Services" for the deck replacement project at the Bear Mountain Bridge. The bridge is a 2,225-foot-long suspension bridge carrying NYS Routes 6 and 202 over the Hudson River between Fort Montgomery and Peekskill, NY. The project involves the removal of the existing 6” CIP standard concrete deck in the girder, truss, and suspension spans in three stages. All job records must be maintained in accordance with NYSDOT M.U.R.K. Firms must demonstrate expertise in construction inspection for such projects and submit evidence of qualification and experience. Firms must comply with the requirements of the RFP, including Equal Employment Opportunity, M/WBE, and SDVOB goals. Total MWBE participation goals are 30%. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal is 6%.
