Anticipated Contract Award: 10/24/2025 o Anticipated Project Start: 10/27/2025 o Anticipated Project Completion: 12/05/2025 The Park District of Highland Park is seeking proposals to provide surveying services for the following scope of work: Topographic Survey of Brown Park and Devonshire Park. Please review the request for proposals in its entirety for details on project scope, schedule, Park District terms and conditions, and proposal instructions. There is NO pre-proposal meeting. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to hire a consultant to prepare Topographic Surveys of Brown Park and Devonshire Park. Please review the request for proposals attached in its entirety for details on the project scope, schedule, Park District terms and conditions, and proposal instructions. Brown Park (655 Burton) is a neighborhood park approximately 4.1 acres. A very narrow park that backs up to rail road tracks. The Park is broken up into 3 sections: the South is active with tennis and a playground, the Center is passive with large trees, and the North is open and connected to downtown Ravinia. Devonshire Park (1060 Devonshire Court) is a neighborhood park approximately 1.1 acres. The Park has a small open space and an Elementary and Tot Playground. The District reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this RFP or any portion thereof, to reject any or all proposals, or to accept an alternate proposal. The District reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any proposal. Unless otherwise specified, the District has ninety (90) days from the published submission date to enter into an agreement with a Firm. The District may seek clarification from a Firm at any time and failure to respond promptly is cause for rejection. The Firm's scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following list of services: A consultant is being sought to perform Topographic Survey for Brown Park and Devonshire Park. The awarded team will accomplish the tasks listed below; this list is not exhaustive. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Survey Scope - Topography: Survey shall be prepared to scale, survey shall be available in AutoCAD and pdf format and shall include the following; o Land contours at one(1) foot intervals, using a 50-foot grid for ground control o High and low points with spot evaluations o All trees of 4" caliper or greater to be surveyed. All trees surveyed to have a numbered metal tag attached to the north side of each tree at +5'-0" above grade. Tree size, location, elevation, and tag number to be noted on survey. The owner shall determine species and condition of tree. (This work is add services) o Planting bed, shrub, and small tree massing outlines/limits o Above and below grade knowable utilities including, but not limited to: water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, telephone, electric, cable, gas, etc. Identify size, type, invert elevations of pipes, and rim elevations of structures. Surveyor shall survey JULIE utility markings and private utility locate. Private locate service by owner. o Limits of 10-year and 100-year floodplain and floodway o Two benchmarks to be located within 100 feet of survey limit line o Existing hardscape features including, but not limited to o Paving (identify different paving types/materials) o Walks o Steps o Curbs o Ramps o Walls and columns o Playground limits o Light fixtures o Signs o Drinking fountains o Fencing and gates o Shelter, structures, buildings, and building entries o Permanently mounted site furniture The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
