A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Selective demolition including removal of the existing swimming pool finishes, select pool deck, pool equipment, Slide and aquatic feaures, Locker areas, electrical fixtures, and additional infrastructure. 2. Construction of a new swimming pool features, pool equipment, aquatic features, changing rooms, finishes, and additional infrastructure. A. Type of Contract 1. Project will be constructed under multiple contracts using W. B. Olson INC as Construction Manager at Risk. B. Definitions: 1. The terms "General Contractor" and "Contractor" as used through the Contract Documents are synonymous. Unless otherwise required by the Contract Documents, the General Contractor may delegate any portion of the Work to a qualified subcontractor, subject to applicable license, bonding, and insurance requirements, and approval by the Owner. The General Contractor shall have the overall responsibility for the satisfactory completion of the Project and for any Work performed by subcontractors in accordance with the prime contract. Sealed proposals are invited for the Glenview Park District Splash Landings Remodel, which covers various trade packages including aquatics, demolition, electrical, fire protection, general trades, glass and glazing, HVAC, masonry, metals, painting, and plumbing. The contractor is responsible for all measurements and must personally inspect the site to verify the scope of the work to be bid. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required, and the contractor must ensure all subcontractors also comply. Proposals must use the supplied form, be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked as indicated, and be submitted as directed. The Glenview Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, as deemed in its best interest.
