The project includes well/drilling work. Contractors are responsible for all measurements and must personally inspect the site to verify the scope of work. Bidders must use the provided proposal form and submit sealed bids marked "Sealed Bid: Glen View Park Golf Club Deep Well Maintenance." The work is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The Glenview Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the district. The Glenview Golf Club's existing deepwell, installed in 1999, serves as the water source for the course's double-row irrigation system. The system configuration consists of a single production well feeding the pump house, which then supplies the main irrigation header. Per the Well Test Data Sheet dated 7/22/2024, the well has the following known characteristics: _ Total well depth: ~1,400 feet _ Static water level: 445 feet _ Pumping level: ~575 feet (130 ft drawdown) _ Flow rate: ~575-580 GPM _ Pump: 100 HP Pleuger submersible (460V, 1800 RPM) _ Column pipe: 6" threaded & coupled steel _ Motor: 100 HP, 460V, 1800 RPM submersible motor _ Measured insulation resistance: 5.0-5.8 megohms The existing well casing and shaft are to remain in place and be reused for the new installation. The project intent is to replace the motor, bowl assembly, and associated appurtenances, perform cleaning, inspection, and testing of the existing column, and integrate the new equipment into the existing electrical and irrigation control system. Work is planned for January-February 2026, when frozen ground conditions will minimize disturbance to the course.
