Renovation of a mixed-use development in Glenview, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
The project includes boiler replacement and miscellaneous mechanical/HVAC work at Winkelman Elementary School and Field Middle School. Sealed bids are required, and a performance and payment bond for the full contract amount must be provided. A bid security of 10% of the bid is required with the proposal. Contractors must pay prevailing wage rates as specified by Illinois law and comply with all associated requirements, including wage, notice, and record-keeping duties. The policy promotes equal opportunity and encourages the use of diversified businesses. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, or accept the bid that best serves its interests. The owner may set aside a bid from a contractor who does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project. Bidders are required to have a written sexual harassment policy in compliance with Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act.
