Renovation of a medical facility in Stony Brook, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade medical facility.

The work includes performing, installing, furnishing, and supplying all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 24421, Rehab & Modernize Emergency Electrical Transfer Equipment at the Intermediate Level (IML) of the Clinical Sciences Tower (CST) at Stony Brook University Hospital. The intent is to modernize existing transfer breakers and associated switchboards, replacing outdated and unreliable infrastructure with new, permanent systems while maintaining continuous power through temporary installations. Bids must be submitted in triplicate on the forms provided by the Hospital, in a sealed envelope marked with the project title and number. Bidding documents will only be provided electronically to prospective bidders who request them from the Hospital Purchasing Department. Attendance at a mandatory site visit and bidders conference is required for Prime contractors wishing to submit a bid. All questions regarding the IFB must be submitted in writing by the specified deadline, and all official responses will be provided in writing. Bid security of at least 5% of the total bid is required. Documentation submitted must include a completed proposal, bid bond or other security, a list of subcontractors with similar minimum requirements, a time and performance plan, a bid breakdown sheet, signed cover page, MWBE and SDVOB utilization plans, EEO staffing and policy documents, signed amendments, bidder’s certifications, and a current Vendor Responsibility Online Questionnaire Certification. Bidders must have completed at least three similar contracts in size, scope, and complexity within the last five years, have experience working in operational healthcare settings including PCRA/ICRA implementations, and provide resumes of site supervisors and project managers with at least ten years of "Healthcare" construction experience. Subcontractor qualifications must meet or exceed those of the Prime bidder. All contractors and subcontractors must meet new NYSDOL registration requirements for public work. Projects must meet sustainable product requirements to achieve at least LEED Silver standards, with proper certification references included in submissions. Bidders must have a written sexual harassment prevention policy and provide annual training as per state law. All relevant NYS Finance and Lobbying Laws apply, and MWBE and SDVOB participation goals must be demonstrated and documented in the bid response.
