The Town of Culpeper is requesting bids for its supply of bulk rock salt for the 2025- 2026 winter season. Initial contract period will be for one year with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement of the parties. The standard town contract will be used and is attached for your reference. The salt is to be used for snow and ice control, and our storage capacity is approximately 150 tons. Our total winter requirements range from 75 to 500 tons, but is not limited to this amount due to unpredictable weather conditions. We require shipments of approximately 25 tons on dump type tractor-trailers. Shipments will be delivered to the Town's storage facility at 1835 Industry Drive, Culpeper, VA on an "as needed" basis. We will need a 24-hour notice prior to delivery. All delivery prices shall be FOB (Free on Board) to our place of business. MSDS sheet for solids shall also be submitted. Delivery schedule: Delivery of all rock salt shall be made within 7 days from the date of receipt of delivery request from the Town of Culpeper.
