Renovation of an educational facility in Fort Myers, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Invitation to Bid for Colonial Elementary School - HVAC Piping Replacement. All subcontractors are responsible for reviewing the complete set of plans and specifications. Bids must include sales tax considerations under the Direct Materials Purchase Program, payment and performance bond, work scheduled for completion during Summer of 2026 (including after hours, weekend, and holiday work as needed), and warranties as per plans and specifications. Subcontractors must agree not to employ unauthorized aliens and to use E-Verify for new hires, providing an affidavit of compliance. Compliance with Executive Order No. 11246 regarding employment nondiscrimination is required. Efforts should be made to secure participation of Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) to meet targeted participation goals. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with required labeling. The Owner and Construction Manager reserve the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. a. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of the following: 1. Colonial Elementary School a. Provide all demolition and new work per the drawings and specifications. b. Remove and replace all existing chilled and hot water heating systems piping, valves, etc. as indicated. Provide all required utility locates, excavation/soil removal, clean fill for the new underground piping system, etc. c. Provide all backfill/compaction. d. All demolition work affecting the existing exterior/interior finishes shall be patched/repaired to match existing. e. Fire Alarm: f. Provide ALL required ceiling removal and replacement to accomplish the piping and installation throughout the campus. g. Remove/re-install lighting, exit signs, smoke detectors, etc. in the main school to coordinate with the chilled water piping installation. h. Provide an allowance of $25,000 dollars to account for unforeseen existing code related deficiencies uncovered during construction. i. Provide a $75,000 allowance for HVAC water piping routing adjustments due to above ceiling existing conditions above ceiling. j. Provide all miscellaneous steel, decking, and concrete work associated with the project. k. SDLC shall have first right of refusal of all existing control equipment, etc. removed from the existing campus control systems in all buildings. l. Provide all contractor services and participate with the commissioning agent for the complete campus HVAC systems. m. Provide Test and Balancing for all chilled water piping systems, existing pumps, etc. n. Provide work on nights, weekends, etc. as required to complete the scope of work and coordinate through the SDLC designated project manager.
