Bid date was extended to 01/15/2026 at 2:00 PM ET A. WORK ofthis CONTRACT comprises general construction of water system improvements for the Town ofFountain in Pitt County, North Carolina. B. WORK under this CONTRACT includes, but is not specifically limited to, the construction and installation of Toddy Booster Pump Station renovation to include, associated pumps, motors, piping, valves, fittings, water meters, chemical feed systems, electrical system, controls, appurtenances, clearing, demolition, grading, erosion control, landscaping, fencing, testing, painting, disinfection, and other WORK as shown on the PLANS or specified in the SPECIFICATIONS. MBE/WBE Participation Goal 10% (combined) Separate sealed bids are invited for the construction of 2023 Water System Improvements CDBG-I: Contract No. 9 - Toddy BPS Improvements. The project is funded entirely by the Community Development Block Grant Program and all related federal requirements apply, including compliance with Section 109, E.O. 11246 (nondiscrimination), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Davis Bacon Act, Anti-Kickback Act, and Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. Small, minority, women, veteran-owned, Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), and Section 3 (low income) businesses, as well as labor surplus area firms, are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina, and not be debarred or suspended from federally assisted contracts. Good faith efforts and a verifiable ten percent (10%) goal for minority business participation are required. Affidavits and documentation to demonstrate good faith efforts must be submitted within prescribed timeframes or bids may be rejected. Participation in a pre-bid conference is encouraged as part of the good faith effort. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
