The City of Commerce is seeking proposals from qualified and licensed contractors to provide on-call plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation services for City-owned facilities. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to carry out services as needed. These services include troubleshooting and repair of leaks, clogs, and fixtures; installation or replacement of plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, faucets, toilets, urinals, and sinks; repair or replacement of water supply and drainage lines; maintenance of backflow prevention devices; emergency responses to flooding, sewer backups, or burst pipes; preventive maintenance and inspection of plumbing systems; sewer line jetting, snaking, and video inspections; and installation and maintenance of drinking fountains and water filtration systems. Facility types covered include City Hall, public libraries, community centers, Emergency Operations Center, Public Works yard, and other support facilities. All work must comply with relevant plumbing codes, Cal/OSHA regulations, and local building and safety codes. Contractors must respond to routine and emergency service requests within specified timeframes and maintain accurate service records.
