The selected contractor shall provide as-needed concrete repair and replacement services throughout the City of Commerce. The services are intended to maintain pedestrian and vehicular infrastructure in a safe, accessible, and functional condition. The work may include, but is not limited to: o Mobilization to various work sites within City limits as directed by Public Works staff o Removal and replacement of damaged or deteriorated: -Concrete sidewalks -Driveway approaches -Curb ramps (including ADA-compliant upgrades) -Cross gutters -Curbs and gutters o Grinding of uplifted or uneven sidewalks to remove vertical offsets and trip hazards o Sidewalk condition assessment and documentation, including: -Identification of deficiencies (uplifts, cracks, spalls, ponding) -Photo documentation and approximate measurements o Formwork and placement of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) in accordance with City and ADA standards o Compaction and base preparation prior to new concrete placement o Finishing and curing of concrete to match existing grade and finish o Installation of detectable warning surfaces at curb ramps o Compliance with ADA slope and dimensional requirements o Temporary traffic control and pedestrian detours in accordance with MUTCD and City requirements oSite cleanup and debris removal upon completion of work All work shall be performed in compliance with the latest edition of Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook), Standard Plans for Public Works Construction (Greenbook), City and LA County standards, and applicable safety and traffic regulations.
