The City of Commerce is soliciting proposals from qualified and licensed contractors to provide on-call electrical maintenance, repair, and installation services for City-owned buildings and facilities on an as-needed basis. The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision needed to perform services that include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuits, lighting systems, and electrical panels; installation or replacement of electrical outlets, switches, wiring, breakers, and conduits; preventive maintenance and inspections of existing systems; emergency response for power outages, equipment failures, and other urgent needs; installation or retrofitting of energy-efficient lighting systems and fixtures; upgrades or modifications to existing electrical systems to meet current codes or operational needs; coordination with utility companies or third-party vendors when necessary; and maintenance and servicing of generators, backup systems, or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems where applicable. Facilities may include City Hall, public libraries, community centers, Emergency Operations Center, Public Works yard, and other support facilities. All work must comply with applicable NEC, Title 24, Cal/OSHA, and local building and safety codes. The contractor must be prepared to respond to routine and emergency service requests within specified timeframes and maintain accurate service records.
