Site work for a municipal facility in Redding, California. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The Project consists of constructing a new stationary emergency generator and automatic transfer switch at the Well 11 site. New equipment shall be installed on concrete pads, and conduit/conductors shall be installed to allow the generator to automatically provide backup power when utility power is unavailable. Additive items include installation of Tier 4 emissions improvements for the Well 11 generator and the procurement of a new 15kW portable generator. Engineer's Construction Cost Estimate is $350,000 to $400,000, including two additive alternates. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids will be on a lump-sum/unit-price basis. All bids shall be evaluated on the basis of the Base Bid amount. Each Bid must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents, construction drawings, and specifications. All documents shall be labeled Wynola Water District Emergency Generator Project The general prevailing wage rate of per diem wages, holidays, and over-time work for each craft, classification, or type of workman needed to execute the Contract are established by the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations. The Wage Decision, including modification, must be posted by the Contractor on the job site. Prospective Bidders shall be licensed Contractors in the State of California and shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of work called for under the Contract. Each Bidder shall have a Class A or Class C-10 California Contractor's license in accordance with the provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of ten percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base Bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements outlined in the Bidding Documents. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all Bids and to make that award which is in the best interest of the Owner. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
