Remodeling of an educational facility in Redding, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the AV Installation Project at 2985 Innsbruck Drive - Shasta Hall. The project requires compliance with the drawings and specifications provided by the Owner. Bidders must be registered and qualified to perform public work under Labor Code section 1725.5 for projects over $25,000, and must provide the registration number for any subcontractors performing more than 0.5% of the total bid. Bidders must have experience with similar projects and the following certifications: Crestron Master Level Certified Programmer, Crestron IVC-E, Crestron NVX Certified Engineer (on staff and committed to the project), and Crestron CTS-D. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required. Bids must be sealed, accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check for at least 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder must provide 100% Payment (Labor and Material) and Faithful Performance Bonds. The contractor must have a Class “C-7” license at the time of award, maintain it throughout the project, and comply with all relevant public work, wage, and licensing regulations. Certain specified materials and products designated by brand or trade name in resolution 2025-03 are not subject to substitution. Bids must be filed at the designated office location and no faxed bids will be accepted. Only contractors licensed in California will be considered. Objective: The objective of this competitive bid is to secure a qualified vendor responsible for the physical installation, configuration, programming, and comprehensive testing of new and existing A/V equipment within the Shasta Hall equipment rack. A paramount requirement is the full integration and interoperability of this system with the existing Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) microphone system, ensuring an intuitive, robust, and high-performance A/V solution that meets the user's expectations for a professional boardroom environment. This includes providing warranty coverage and options for ongoing technical support and maintenance for the installed equipment and services. Scope of Work Details: The awarded vendor shall be responsible for all aspects of installing, programming, and testing the specified equipment, along with the critical integration of the existing Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) microphone system, based on recommendation provided by Crestron design schematics. This includes, but is not limited to, the following key tasks and responsibilities1. Initial Planning and Coordination: Attend a mandatory site survey to determine optimal locations for equipment installation. Develop a detailed installation plan, including wiring diagrams and equipment placement. Coordinate with SCOE's IT and facilities teams to ensure compliance with: building codes network requirements and general SCOE IT standards (see Appendix A, B and C). 2. Equipment Rack Installation and Cabling:Receive, unbox, and physically install all new specified equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, the following Crestron components: CP4N, UC-CX100-(Z or T)-WM, DMF-CI-8, DM-NVX-360C, DM-NVX-E760C, DM-NVX-D30, IV-SAM-VX2-P. Install and securely mount all A/V equipment in the designated rooms and locations. Install and integrate existing OFE into the rack where applicable, specifically the OFE Shure DSP (P300), Amplifier, and Listen Technologies Assistive Listening DSP (existing). Integrate the existing OFE - MXCWAPT or comparable item, ensuring proper connectivity for optimal wireless microphone performance. Run necessary cabling and network connections, ensuring minimal disruption to existing infrastructure. This includes all necessary internal rack cabling, power, network (Ethernet/Dante), and A/V signal (HDMI, USB-C, etc.) connections between installed components. Robust cable management, labeling, and dressing for a professional and maintainable installation are required. Connect all rack equipment to existing room infrastructure, including network drops, power outlets, and A/V source inputs and display outputs.
