The Darke County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids for asbestos removal and demolition of vacant and blighted structures located in Darke County. Bids shall be marked, "Darke County PY2024 Demolition & Site Revitalization Program-Phase II" and include the Bidder's name and address. The Sites include rights-of-way, easements, and other lands in which to complete the associated demolition work. The properties are located at the following addresses with additional information for each property located in the Summary of Work within these Documents: 1. 3383 Weavers Fort Jefferson Road, Greenville (asbestos removal with demolition) 2. 6468 Requarth Road, Greenville (whole haul) 3. 9249 Greenville-St. Marys Road, Greenville (whole haul) The project consists of asbestos removal in one (1) residential structure with demolition following and full asbestos/demolition of two structures. Asbestos Hazard Evaluations dated August 29, 2025 completed by Turn-Key Environmental are contained in the Bidding Documents. All work shall be completed no later than December 31, 2025. It is anticipated that a Bid Award will be issued on or about November 4, 2025. Bids must be signed and submitted on the bidding forms included in the Bidding Documents and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the total Bid amount or by a certified check in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security, furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid. The Darke County Commissioners reserve the right to reject each and every bid and to waive informalities, irregularities and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
