The purpose is to prequalify plumbing contractors to perform infiltration and inflow (I/I) reduction work on residential properties throughout the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District service area. The Pipe Check Program offers financial incentives to property owners to repair defective laterals and eliminate other sources of clearwater I/I on private property. Property owners will contract with an Approved Contractor for eligible work partially funded by the program. The District may also use the list of qualified contractors for other Private Property Infiltration and Inflow projects. Only contractors meeting the qualifications outlined in the RFQ and approved by the Contractor Evaluation Committee will be listed as Approved Contractors for a period of five years, provided they remain in good standing with program requirements.
