A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Bentonville, Arkansas is accepting formal, sealed bids from qualified, licensed, and experienced contractors to perform necessary re-roofing repairs to Fire Station 1. This includes all labor, materials, and equipment required for the full completion of the work for the City of Bentonville Fire Department. Bids must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. The selected contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds at the time of contract signing in amounts equal to the Total Bid Price. Bidders must adhere to all bonding requirements as specified. Small, minority owned, and women owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids, as are general contractors who are encouraged to consider these groups when subcontracting portions of their work. All bids must be submitted in compliance with the instructions and meet the stated requirements for consideration. Bidders are responsible for visiting the site, becoming familiar with the work area(s) and field verifying measurements prior to submitting a Bid for the work. WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: Removal of existing roof and replacement of the Central Fire Station Roof for the City of Bentonville, under single lump sum contract. 1.02 COORDINATION: Provide administrative and supervisory requirements necessary for coordination of work, including meetings, administrative and supervisory personnel, survey, records, reports, limitations for use of site, installation provisions, cutting and patching, cleaning, protection, and conservation. A. Contractor is responsible for contacting the Arkansas State Fire Marshal to coordinate an above ceiling inspection and final inspection. 1.03 BOUNDARIES AND BENCHMARKS: Employ a professional Civil Engineer or Land Surveyor registered in the State of Arkansas, and approved by the Architect, to confirm or define site boundaries and/or building lines. Erect substantial benchmarks and preserve them throughout the work. 1.04 SITE CONDITIONS AND CONTRACTOR USE OF PREMISES: Refer to drawings for site conditions. During entire construction period, Contractor shall have exclusive use of premises for construction operation, including full use of site. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
