The work to be performed includes the APRAW Road & N.W. 2nd Street Intersection Improvements. The proposal to be submitted must include all necessary sums for General, Construction, Mechanical Installation, Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, Taxes (Federal and State), Permits, Licenses, and Service Costs required for the construction of the facilities. All materials and labor must comply with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by the project engineers and any addenda. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the project's title and the bidder's information. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the highest aggregate proposal amount, which will serve as evidence of intent to contract, should the bid be accepted. Approved Performance and Payment Bonds guaranteeing proper performance and materials, executed by an acceptable Surety Company, are required at contract execution for 100% of the contract price and must remain in force for 12 months after final payment. Proposals must be completed on the forms provided and include Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96 as required by statute. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to accept or combine proposals as deemed desirable, and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Plans and specifications are available from the City of Washington Clerk-Treasurer's office, and a deposit is required for obtaining a set of these documents. Unsuccessful bidders may receive a partial refund upon prompt return of the documents in good condition.
